Does anyone know how long pollen lasts in the high heat before it is completely denatured?

I don't know if anyone has taken pollen samples in sequence during high sustained heat and then checked pollen viability, but I do know that fresh pollen can be stored cool and dry for several days.

And you might want to check out the rest of Keith's superb site if you don't know it already about how to make crosses, segregation with crosses, supberb links and so much more.

I don't know the answer, but other factors like humidity and wind will also play a role. Even the sun shining, versus being behind a cloud, I'm guessing could make a difference. Your question is a hard one, because there are so many variables.
