June 2014 Garden Pictures
Its been raining a lot here in Iowa so I'm a little behind on my weeding. Other than a hard frost on my tomatoes, which have mostly recovered, its been a good spring for the garden
The close ups of the tomatoes are Gypsy and Garden Pearl. You can see our new 6' rooster in the backround

Looks awesome!
Now being fairly new to all of this, i have to admit this is the first time i have seen string in the onions. Is this to keep them up when they start to fall? |

My wife has many outside cats. The string was to deter them from using the bed as a litter box when the onions were first planted as I started them from seed in January. I just never got around to removing it

Great looking garden you have, nicely placed and neat - even if you haven't had the opportunity to weed yet. The rooster is a nice touch......"guardian of the garden"
