It just never gets old
These are the things that keep us coming back to doing all the work, the worrying, the impatience with winter's slow departure, the wishing, the hopefulness, and the salivating. It just makes me want to go down to the grocery store and slap the produce manager until he confesses.
Lets see. I am thinking a BLT sandwich with some cole slaw, and tomorrow morning, there will be blackberry jam on my toast.

Ginger, I got a new camera and the focus on it is really, really crisp. I can't believe some of the detail it catches. It's a Sanyo VPC-E2100.
Now, your season might be in hibernation, but you get two. Tell me, do you ever get tired of strawberries????

Not waterlogged.... far from it. Thunderstorms are way too random. The other day it rained across the highway, but nothing for us!
Diva cukes are the best! Jaunnee Flammee for the eyes, and red pontiac nose. Makes for a nice dinner. Oh, the quartet is Dwarf Mahagony, Anna Banana Russian, Big Beef, and Prudens Purple.... I plan to have the later on a sandwich in a few minutes. Would be great with some of that homemade coleslaw! Lee

And here I was looking forward to my blood and tongue sausage and head cheese which we picked up after taking my wife to some hospital testing. Also found some winter squash that I picked up for the seed. But, your selection looks mighty good!

The Blackberries are coming in quickly now. Looks like I'll be picking this weekend. I'm glad I don't have to go very far to get into the "Blackberry Honey Hole". The heat and humidity here is extremely oppressive, especially for us seniors. I'll have to make sure I take extra water and gator aide. I'll try to get some pictures for you guys.

So true Ted! I actually just came in from the garden. I was looking for a little something to add to my curried chicken salad sandwich. I started with a couple of lettuce leaves but then added a nasturium leave, a borage leave, some lesbos basil, a couple of leaves of chocolate mint and a few leaves of malabar spinach. Man this sandwich is good!
