Did great for me. It produced well and I loved the taste. However, mine went from under ripe - to prefect - to over ripe extremely quickly - VERY little keep time.

Yes! I tried my first one tonight.

It is an impressive tomato. Restores my faith in humanity -
a new breed with productivity, beauty and FLAVOR!. I pulled one after it was well colored, but still firm, let it set two days and BAM! It is a very juicy tomato, the balance of tart and sweet seems to make for a bright, illuminating, taste experience. I had my first Black Krim yesterday -also an excellent flavor; maybe a more classic tomato flavor. The PBTD is something different for me.

Default Great Flavor + Early!

I agree about the taste of PBTD, plus it was the first full-size tomato to ripen for me this year. Up to now my favorite for texture and taste was Kelloggs Breakfast; I'm going to have to do a side-by-side tasting when KB finally gets ripe to settle the matter. PBTD just looks yummy when you slice it.

What I lovingly dubbed "The Buttmato." It weighed over a pound. I brought it with me to work and made it into a knockout caprese salad for a bunch of skilled amateur and professional chefs. I barely had 1/4 cup left when I went home that night.

I will say that while it's susceptible to Grey Mold, it hangs the hell in there! My plant has it all the way up the main stem thanks to our lately erratic weather, but it refuses to give up. All the fruit it set is still growing. once the last few full-sized ones start to color up, I'll put it out of its misery, but I love this variety. It's earned a spot in my permanent to-grow list.

I've eaten my second PBTD, and numbers 3 and 4 are on the way.... just to confirm from way north here, a great tasting tomato! It wasn't very early here this cold spring, and only set 9 or 10 fruit before the heat got too extreme. They are large though. And I think the low fruit load has helped this plant to resist the molds and such which are affecting other plants - I expected PBTD to be trouble because so many people say it is susceptible, but it's doing just fine.

PBTD has a lot of black competition here this year. Chernomor has been really good this year, tangy and very smooth. ISPL so far has been a little bland. Amazon Chocolate and Tsindao are deliciously sweet under the right conditions. . My Beist F1 is very tasty but the first one was not sweet enough for me, it might yet be a rival for top spot. But PBTD has a real zing to it, very unique. I must say, it stands out from the pack.

Also, thanks for those who pointed out how quickly these go to overripe - wow. Definitely the shortest shelf life of any of the above.. but worth the watch and wait.

Bower, that was one thing I noticed. All the fruit were nice sized!!
Thought it was dead but I might get a few more out of it!
