Started Planting Out Yesterday

Yesterday, May 2nd I began planting out.
It's the earliest I have ever done so. With the weather forecast predicting highs in the upper seventies to low eighties over the next ten days, how could I not?
Even the lows overnight only drop to the upper forties to mid fifties.

I've had black weed barrier on my planting ares for the past week so my soil temperature was showing approx. 59 F throughout.
It's going to take me a few days of planting to get everything in the ground but with early May weather here acting like it's June I can't ignore it.

I think you'll do fine, look to be at a low risk as long as your soil temperature doesn't drop too much at night.
Our long-term for the 3rd/4th week of May has been changing but still showing low 40s at night. Besides, my new raised beds are not complete yet so I couldn't plant if I wanted too unless I do it in the old garden

YAY I wish I had hardened off my babies earlier in order to plant out this weekend. When did you start hardening off yours?

Yay! Mine are out, too- I can hardly believe they're in the ground so early but it was too hard to pass up the warm weather in the forecast. Here's hoping for an unusually warm spring to balance out the long cold winter we had.

Soil temp here is fine, the daytime temps are high enough, the nighttimes are just warm enough. Only problem is Monday is not enough time to do it right, Tuesday my son is taking me to a Who concert in Kansas City (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts open) and Wednesday my wife and 2 daughter's-in-law are going to the Lion King in Des Moines and Thursday we come back home. Rain is forecast all week and all next weekend, so Monday the 11th is the first next chance. One day later than last year. I'm past ready.

Today all my toms went into their raised beds. This is actually about ten days late for me this year. April was unusually cool but my lettuce and spinach have loved it.

You're lucky! My 10 day shows yet another stupid LOW pressure system coming through mid-week with daytime highs dropping again into the mid-50s and lows in the low-30s. We've had a couple of days that got to 80°F, but we're still on the roller coaster part of spring here in northern Nevada. That's okay, I'm getting them out in Walls O' Water. Only two are out so far, but I've got another dozen that are ready as soon as I fill more WOWs (or bribe a certain 10YO boy to do it...) Maybe I can play the Mother's Day card? Hmmmm.

Wow Robin, I'm going to have to watch some weather now. I know it's supposed to start raining again Wednesday. No, now it's Tuesday, but no cold temperatures. One of these days, I'm going to look up online or ask you what a Walls O' Water is?

I started planting out this weekend too. Cautious at first, but mostly slow because I have a lot to do in the garden!

My wife was tempted also..she said the forecasted low for the next two weeks was 39. This morning I checked out thermometer..28 deg.There was frost on car windows. Be prepared to cover all tender plants.

I'm going to plant out next week, mine are on the porch now hardening off and they are getting too big and need to go in the ground. The earliest I have planted is mid May and this won't be that much earlier.

Yesterday we finished planting, in pots, about 60 Hot pepper along with a few sesame plants. All we have left is to transplant the Kale and Cilantro for the two Rabbits my Daughter left for us to take care of. That should amount to 30 more Pots and 3 old wheelbarrows. Rabbits are expensive.
