Default Annie

I grew Annie for the first time this year.
I was really impressed with its productivity and taste. It also survived the extreme spring and summer (extreme as in temperatures and dryness).

Average weight per fruit approx. 55-60g.

I couldn't find much info on this tomato. Who has grown it? What was your impression?

Spatz-I grow in the desert southwest here in usa-always looking for varieties that are either dwarf or good for dry conditions. Did you save seed? I am growing Millet's Dakota this summer to see if it lives up to the hype.

I am growing Early Annie this year...From the SSE description it does not seem quite the same...Your tomatoes look super, I hope Early Annie comes close...

Michael...I have considered Millet's Dakota before too, will be interesting to see how it does for you...

Michael, I did save seeds. Not many, but enough to send you some, if you'd like to give Annie a go. Let me know.

Interestingly enough, the ladies did best this hot and dry summer. Elfie, Annie, Aunt Ruby, Aunt Ginny....

Unfortunately, most of the bagged flowers dropped and I couldn't save many seeds.

Michael, how is Annie? Did she do anything for you?
After all the praise that I heaped on that tomato, I sure hope it does alright for you.

Spatz-Annie didnt make it past the germination stage-I got failed germination-it was really way too late for germinating and putting out, so I only sowed a couple of seed and didnt get any germination-I really was pointing toward growing it Spring 08. I start seed here in January, and by the time I read your post and got seed it, was almost May. So I will grow next year and report back to you. Thanks again for the seed.

All the best.

Thanks for the feedback, Michael. Hated to hear about the lack of germination. Sorry. Hope the rest will do well when you can sow them at the right time.
