From all the above reports, it certainly sounds like seeds saved from a hybrid, which would explain why none have been the same as the original. Not the first time a vendor told a customer what they thought they wanted to hear. ;-(

Hi-Rena, they look pretty big already and still swelling, should make a good size I hope,
I am pretty sure none of them were hybrids and were just as the old gentleman told me in portugal- but we shall see someone will grow some monsters out of them I am sure, Anyway it will be fun trying, and if they are worth it at the end of the season and/or turn out to be hybrids then I shall persevere and de-hybridise them. I really think this is going to be a monster. It is in a container so not getting full potential. Here is pics of same cluster 2 weeks later (cold nights and possible frost living outside) and it has put on some weight The second pic is of another fruit.

Michael, I have some seeds as well. I wasn't able to sow this spring due to the impending move but I am just sure that I will have some really big monsters out of them I hope you get some bragging rights out of this.

Well done (Rena) keep em; coming like that- I am sure that you have a potential winner there- Show these Aussie upstarts how its done.
Gardengairn- sure thing-if you produce a monster to beat all the others- the bragging rights are all yours- but there are approx forty others to beat around the world- including Andrey in Belarus,Ami in germany,Me in the UK, and the rest between Canada and the USA- although I fully expect one of the best growers in the USA to take the lead- so far Rena is in the lead by a short head-real good grower is Rena-bet she has been feeding it some special secret mix she is not sharing with anyone-until after september.
