Mick, are your plants fruiting very much? Your plants look really lush, the stems look thick and the leaf density looks intense and the leaves look rather big. How much nitrogen fertilizer did you put in the mix?

No other fertilizer is added other than what the TTF provides. I do not prune very much (other than the bottom limbs that might touch the soil). I do this because I found that sun scald was a problem where these plants are situated. The growing medium (which contains about 35% Stout Ollie's Mater Maker) may be responsible for some of the lush growth. I have used this stuff for years and really like it. Plus, its made right here in SC. Plants are blooming and fruiting nicely as we speak. I usually pick my first tomato late May or early June with the bulk of them coming in in early July. USDA Zone 7b.

Those plants look like they're doing really well! Where did you manage to find 15 gallon planters for them?
