It's semi-determinate, your choice on whether to give it support or not, since semi-determinate is between a determinate and and an indeterminate,but since it's a cherry I think I'd give it some support.

Thanks Carolyn, I appreciate your response. I'm giving a gift to an elderly gentleman that can no longer have a garden, so I am trying to find something he will like from what I have - Remy Rouge, Summertime Gold, Jade Beauty and Dwarf Red Heart. I'm thinking smallish with little staking. I'm a little concerned he won't like Summertime Gold or Jade Beauty since they are not red but you never know.

If "semi-determinant" means that it has fundamental determinatnt growth habit (NOT vine-like), then it meant that it can grow much taller than normal determinant. In that case it would require support system (stakes, cage).
I would suggest a BUSH, PATIO type or determinant dwarf..

I have a good suggestion. Silvery Fir Tree. It grows about 2 ft tall and bushy and can be supported with stakes or smallest ringed cage.
Here is mine, currently.

Nope, semi-determinate does not mean that it fundamentally has determinate growth.

Note that while I'm sure your other suggestions have been noted that the person already ha seeds for RemyRouge, so that's what's being grown.

I give all tomatoes support. Even the robust stocky dwarfs get a stake. I find that once they have fruit growing, they all need support. Cherry tomato plants get a cage in my garden, with the exception of sprite, which is determinate and I grow 3 in a large pot with stakes for each plant.

Sorry I haven't grown Remy Rouge. The picture that Remy has on her website looks like it doesn't have any support that I can see. However that plant looks immature. Knowing me, I would give it a cage, since it's so bushy, just to keep it neat and tidy.

I agree it's immature,just starting to blossom, a semi-det as remy refers to it is IMO just a more compact plant,and the true definition between a determinate and an indeterminate has to do with the internode distances between side branches, and it would take me awhile to find that definition,since right now it is NOT on the so called tip of my tongue.

Why don't we compromise and let the OP decide what to do,support with maybe one of those three ringed supports,cheap and easy,or not.
