Pricing on black eyed or purple hull peas?

Anyone selling these at their market? I haven't been able to get mine in the ground yet because of all the rain we've had, but one of the other growers has some ready now and he has no idea on what to charge for them. He's older and not computer savvy, so I told him I'd see what I could find.

Do y'all sell them by volume or weight? I don't think he's going to have bushels and bushels, so maybe a price per pound if anyone does that? These will be unshelled.

We're in SE Texas; our prices on other produce are about in the middle of what I saw on the other threads.

At my local farmers market the primary pea vendor sells quart zip lock bags that are nearly full of shelled peas for $5. My market is not cheap and it helps that he has little or no competition. Still that is more peas for the same price than at a grocery store that sells them fresh. Most sell them only frozen - bleh.

I think I pay about $8.00 shelled for Shelly beans,both limas and PEPH. This is from my local produce stand.

OK, thanks for the replies. I was hoping to get an idea of unshelled, but the shelled pricing helps.

Around here we prefer our field peas with the snaps.

Sorry,yes it was a quart and they're shelled.
We just love them. Fresh butter beans,too.
