I have been picking tons of these guys and i really wished i loved it. Maybe it has too stiff of competition this year but for me i just had way better flavored cherries in my garden. It was just good not great for me and had little shelf life.

I've got the seeds of ICD for next year.

As I have mentioned before, I am growing Indigo Rose and I . Apple.
So far IA is beating IR in fruits set. The fruits are about small cherry size now and lots and lots of flowers in big trusses are there. I will pick the winner for 2017.
The plant in 4 gallon pots are over 4 ft tall and doing great.

Is this plant supposed to have curled leaves? Mine looks awful but loaded with fruit. Haven't tasted them,yet.

Can't say the leaves are curled on my plant any more than some others, but the fruits have started to ripen and are very eye-catching! Taste is good for us; neighbor Suz says they have "good old-fashioned tomato flavor" and it's the first tomato of the year she commented on.

I would agree with that flavor assessment. It is a solid tasting tomato--I'd say a 7, and is such a striking looking tomato. I would agree with you also heirloom guy (Sungold Sunrise Bumblebee Ron's Carbon Copy, and some micro dwarf multiflora) I have better tasting cherries in the garden.

I also agree. Using the 0-10 scale for taste, I would also say around 7. Someday, I'll grow it again, but most likely not next year. I still have way too many others to try out.

I am growing ICD along side Painted Pink. Painted Pink is way, way, way better. Much better tasting and more productive. Second year growing Painted Pink and I cannot recommend it enough. I will grow Painted Pink as my "blue cherry" going forward. ICD is just okay for me.

I finally tasted some Indigo Kumquat F1 fruit, and it's great! Very fruity, sweet, on a wispy plant. I will save some F2 seed and maybe play with it next year. Or maybe just look for plants next year, and plan my gardens better. (Unfortunately, the plant is under the hackberry tree, which has wooly aphids this year, making everything underneath it sticky.)

Very good reports.
Next year I will grow all 3 indigos. My IR and IA did extremly well . Right now they are loaded.

My experience this year too.

I can only explain the difference between the ones I tasted at the farmers' market last year and mine this year like this:

Farmer who brought Indigo Cherry drops to market last year = Excellent tomato grower

Me = Not so good tomato grower.

In my garden - just average taste, would rate it at 7 also; but it was wildly productive and very beautiful both on the plant and on a plate. No splitting or disease issues.
