Mine were hot as was the Summer up here. Hot and dry! My seed catalog said the hotter and dryer the Summer the hotter the pepper. I didn't eat it, one of my customers said her husband ate it and was drinking everything in site to alleviate the heat.

I believe it is the garden salsa pepper. I eat one about 3x week. has a little heat, but no moreso than a jalopeno, and the heat is very short lived. I eat a pepper with dinner every night, the pepper varies - but I have gotten rather fond of these. pick it fresh right before dinner.

I chopped up some Jamaican hot red and yellow seeds and all and mixed them with mashed potatoes and butter along with little cubes of knackwurst yesterday.

I'm going to eat another one tonight and also add a small tabasco pepper too w/ my shrimp bisque. Maybe drink a Mexican coke. I Usually cut the heat of a nude pepper at the hab, but occasionally nibble on those too. I grow chili peppers (don't know why), but only use to make dust or big pots of soup/chili.
