Linda and Dan -- I like those! At around $5 each, they are cheaper than the Permanest and look to be sturdy. I will order some when I return home and report back.

I grab a handful of used 1020s each year at my local garden shop. When I go buy my potting mix each year, I ask if the have any used ones and they give them to me. I think I only lost 2 or 3 in the past few years - usable still but beat up.

These have done well for me, nice and sturdy. The thin disposable ones are too flimsy for my ham hands. Some are 2+ years old, and in my year round garden it's probably the equivalent of a couple of seasons of wear and tear. So far no quitters, well worth the few bucks.
