Stupice almost ready!

We've had almost perfect tomato growing weather here in southeast Georgia. Cool nights and sunny warm dry days around 80F, with low humidity. This Stupice is around 90 days from seed, started mid January indoors, and planted out Mar 1. Used the 5 gallon bucket to actually limit the harvest, but the plant didn't listen and there are over 100 tomatoes on it. The first one should be ready in a few days.

Very nice, Ed. I also saw your other thread.
It was like yesterday when you were seeking advice as what to grow down south.
Zone 9b, sure gave you a head start. In my zone 8A, in NC, my plants are just setting. Stupice has about pea size tomatoes. But I have one variety (Silvery Fir Tree) that has several fruits bigger than golf ball. SunGold is also coming along pretty good. Nothing on Big beef , Indian Stripe PL, and Creole yet.
We also have had a nice weather , except on March 16, 17th we had 2 nights of back to back freeze (down to 24F ) and I lost about 7 plants even after trying hard to protect them. But I managed to save 5.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Gardeneer, sounds like we have similar plants, will be fun to compare. We froze here too on those March nights - upper 20s, and luckily I could bring the containers in for a couple of nights. Will be interesting to see how they all perform in the heat. Forecast to be almost 90 this weekend, and getting more humid....cooling a bit next week, but the heat's a comin'.

We had another hot day reaching 90F. But it was windy/breezy with low humidity.
My Stupice all have tomatoes and are very vigorous. They are competing with Sungold, in size and number of flowers/buds / fruits.
We shall see how they will do when it gets really hot.This is just April.

I ate the first one this am. Flavor wasn't as good as usual, but maybe I should have waited longer.
