Will have to try a Bloody Butcher too. Earlier than Stupice? Just ate my first Stupice of the year this am....90 days from seed!

I have grown both Bloody Butcher as well as Stupice, but prefer Matina to the latter, and Stupice to BB.

And I can update Tanias info to say that Sahin Seeds was sold to another company, and no,this was not one bred by Tom Wagner.

Thanks, Caroline. I had never heard of Matina, but I do like Bloody Butcher for its hardiness and volume of output. I will try Matina next year.

I have grown Stupice, Bloody Butcher and Matina , all in the same season.
Bloody Butcher was the first in my garden, about the same time as Siletz.
Then came Stupice. Matina was way behind.

I consider BB to be superior to Stupice, and Matina as good, but slightly later, and a bit different. Interesting how taste buds rate tomatoes from one person to the next.

Scott, when do you plant your tomatoes out? I'm in Atlanta too and I can't imagine having tomatoes already. Sounds like I need to try some of these!

I start germination on 31 Dec, and I plant out the seedlings in last week of March. The mild spring has hastened the tomatoes this year.
