Default West Virginia Tomato's

I am a long time lurker on both sites, and this is the first time I have ever posted here.

I am interested in Tomatoes form WV...So far, these are the ones that I found:

Tappy's Finest
1884
Kelloggs Breakfast
Giant Syrian
Hillbilly
Akers WV
Mortgage Lifter
Old German
Striped German
Golden Ponderosa
West Virgina Straw

Are there any other that anybody knows about?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave, welcome to Tville. If you see any posts from Dunkel shoot him a PM. He might be able to help you out. Hey Dunkel, its time to come out of hibernation. Enjoy your stay Dave and don't be bashful, just jump in. Ami

I have a yellow fruited variety called simply "West Virginia" from the same seed source who sent me Giant Syrian (Charlotte Mullens, who was living in WV when she sent me seeds in 1990). I don't know if Giant Syrian actually originated in WV, however.

Other varieties she sent me are Gallo Plum, Toensfeldt, Cornish, Bower, Bilder, Transparent, Big Sandy, Belgiam (her spelling), and Armenian. She frequently traded seeds with people via Gardens For All, so it is likely that these came from all over the place. I would have to go back and find her letters to me to see if she designated her sources.
