Default First Egg

Picked my 1st Eggplant this year, a 5" tall X 4" wide Italian Pink Bi-Color. A few nasty spines and not as Bi-Colored as I expected. Will update the flavor test soon.

Default 3 New Fruit Picked Today

I picked my 2nd, 3rd and 4th eggs of the year this morning. The first one is a Nogaiskije (seeds from IPK SOL #825) from the former Soviet Union. The plant is 40" tall with numerous lavender flowers and very rough leaves. The fruit pictured below is 8" long by 3" wide. The second one is a Thai Long Green, seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. It was grown in a 12"w X 10"t Terra Cotta pot and the plant was 18" tall. Not many lavender blooms, 9 1/2" X 2" Granny Smith/Lime Green fruit. The third Eggplant is a Pompano Market (seed from IPK SOL #847) and it stands 20" tall planted in a 12'X10" Terra Cotta pot. There are 3 immature fruit and 8 lavender blooms still on the plant. The 4" tall X 3" wide fruit is very dark purple. No taste results as of yet, will update in the future.
