Default Carolyn, Need ID

Carolyn, these definatey aren't "Mary Ann" which is what I thought I was planting. Ping pong ball size red, good flavor a little on the sweet side. I planted two plants, the one pictured below in a container, the other one next to my compost pile which has gone totally wild and taken over the whole plot. Needless to say very prolific. I believe they came from seed you sent me. Ami

Could be Ami but I didn't keep a list of the varieties I sent you.

For sure what you describe is NOT Mary Ann.

If I did you seed it was from someone who sent me seed back saying it was true Mary Ann b'c I don't have any fresh seed for it. No doubt somewhere there's really old seed but that would mean a search and destroy mission.

The two varieties that seem to be having trouble are Mary Ann and Debbie. Which is why I've asked for seed back on those two and in the wanted seeds Forum I just told someone that I was pretty sure someone did send me back some Debbie seeds and said they were true.

So no, I can't ID it for you unless you list for me what seeds I sent you. And even then it could be crossed seed b'c I always state that I do not bag blossoms and thus can not and do not guarantee seed purity, as you'll see if you look at my seed offer here this past Spring.

Carolyn, here are the possibilities.
1. Sweet Horizon
2. Milka's Red Horizon
3. Joe's Portuguese
4. Mary Ann from Tomstrees

Better to talk to Tom about that one.

Carolyn, thats the Maryann I got from you and you said you got it from Tom. So I take it my nameless tomato does not resemble anything you might have grown. Oh well, so much for that. Thanks for the help. Ami
