Medovaya Kaplya

A couple of years ago, I shared a lot of Medovaya Kaplya seeds in trades and swaps including the MMMM. Those seeds are good.

Last year, I planted Medovaya Kaplya and saved some seeds that I did not share with anyone because they just didn't look right to me. I planted five cells this year with those seeds and only three seeds germinated. Of those three, one made it to the potting up stage. It looks healthy.

It is a variety worth growing, and I hope someone else is going to grow some this year. I might be asking for some seeds

I've got ya covered. I've grown it every year for several years now, and plan to grow it again this year. I think I have some started for my greenhouse collection already; my outside ones won't be seeded for another couple of weeks. I might even find out it is time to renew my seed bank for it. Either way, I'll have seed for whenever you need some.

I like it for many years since I've got the seeds from Russia in 2007 and then introduced this variety abroad via our one and only Carolyn in 2009
A real Honey Drop as you can translate it from Russian.

A fruit skin is not so thin as with most of cherry tomatoes so you can use these fruit for canning

I also have plenty of seeds saved. I got them from Carolyn a couple of generations ago. Yes it's a nice variety compared to the regular "Yellow Pear". A bit bigger and much tastier in my opinion.

To those who have grown both- how does Medovaya Kaplya compare to Chang Li?

I have grown both, and I like Medovaya Kaplya and Chang Li. The things they have in common are color and shape. If you have room in your garden to grow both - it is worth the garden space and effort. As for taste - that's a personal preference thing.
