Overrun by Tomatoes!

This is my harvest over 5 days (minus what we ate). There are only the two of us so it is a lot! Last year I didn't get 1/4 of this over the whole season so I want to thank the people at TVille for all their help and advice.

I have one plant each of Cherokee Purple, Cherokee Green, Aunt Gertie's Gold, Kellogg's Breakfast, German Red Strawberry, Brandywine, Jaune Flammee (probably mixed since they are huge), Black from Tula, Gardener's Delight, Black Cherry and Sungold F1. I also have one Kosovo which was planted late and from which a somewhat unripe tomato fell off. My Sungold has gone wild and has been giving me a small basket everyday.

Fantastic.. The pic is beautiful. Think about starting to freeze some of those maters.-Rena (who is doing the happy tomato dance with you even tho she has none)

Three days after that I collected around 2 1/2 times as much...I can't believe what a difference this is from last year, and with just 12 plants!

Just curious...what do people use frozen cherry tomatoes for?

Not sure anyone does, but they do dry them to put on salads and such. I have a love hate relationship with cherries. I love them when nothing else is putting on fruit but I hate them during main harvest as I can't keep up with production. I still feel like I have to plant one of each color

Martha Stewart did a frozen bloodymary with frozen cherry tomatoes. i HAVE KEPT THAT ON MY LIST OF THINGS TO TRY. I am loaded with Matt's Wild Cherries.
