My son is about to mow his place, so I thought I would get a couple of pictures.

I think it might be in the Phlox family, but other than that I'm not sure what it is?

Yes, it's called, Sabatia campestris

Texas Star or Meadow Pink. Just one of Texas wildflowers.

That's what it is. The petals are more purple than pink when you look at them closely. Otherwise, out in the sun they look more pink.

My wife knew what they are - I should have asked her. We also have a lot of Wine Cups this year.

They haven't been mowed yet. He stopped mowing when he got to them.

Cacti - this is over a foot wide, and it's growing right beside an oak tree.
