Earthboxes in a greenhouse?
Hello to all!
This year we are new to greenhouse gardening, we bought a little one 8X6 to grow veggies - mostly tomatoes for our 3 little boys. Last year we made the great earthboxes but many of our tomatoes were stolen or eaten by our backyard friends. So my questions are: Is it a good idea to put earthboxes in a greenhouse? What are the best/other veggies to grow in there? What is a good veggie/herb to plant in the same tomato container? When is it too hot/cold for tomatoes? We have enjoyed all the wonderful advice on these boards! My little ones are so excited to start growing tomatoes in the "Tomato House" Thank you all! |

I now have 9 EBs in my 8 by 12 greenhouse. They do fine in the environment. Here's a link to a couple of pics when I first put them in last year. If it was me, I'd grow the dwarf type tomatoes or at least determinate types.

Hi Earl,
Great pictures, thanks! I will grow some dwarf type. Great lettuce too! Our greenhouse is only 8 by 6 so I think I'll stick to 3 EBs. Thanks again. |
