First blush
Woke up this morning to find Mohomakh's Hat blushing. At 57 days after translplanting, it will be a little earlier than advertised. Somewhat of a surprise I guess. It is also a fairly large tomato. And I thank Suze for the seeds, it performed well for me last fall as well.

Yes, Monomakh's Hat (a.k.a. Shapka Monomakha or Monomakh's Cap) is a relatively early tomato which I like.
Duajones, please continue tempting us with the pictures of your first ripe tomato of the season! I still have tomato seedlings indoors overnight as we had an unexpected frost in the last three nights down to 26F.

Duane, that's great! It was a really nice one for me last spring. Earliest med to med-lg very good tasting heart I have grown so far, beat Anna Russian by at least a week. It was also one of the last hearts to produce as well.
I also liked that the plants were also a bit on the compact side. I think it maybe got 5-6 ft tops for me. |

Glad, you all like Shapka Monomakha so much! This Siberian CV is really worth of growing in any climate!

Pulled it this afternoon as I have a couple mocking birds eyeing it. Weighed in at 15 oz which surprises me since it was so early. Probably give it another 2 or 3 days before I eat it. Picture doesnt do it justice
