Trees Bottom Yellow and Snags Pride
These are two varieties I got from the SSE Yearbook. Both are being grown under my balcony along with Black Bear and Flathead Indian. TBY is a Yellow, Ind, PL beefsteak which hails from Luray, Virginia. Beautiful tomato that is all meat and few seeds and has a unique flavor with a sweet and sour taste. Does not like heat with late fruit set but is catching up.
Snags Pride is also a Ind. PL but pink in color and another that is all meat and few seeds. Havn't quite figured the taste on this one and will have to wait for the next ripe one to see what I've got. It is definitely a juicer as the juice poured out at the slightest squeeze of the fruit. Snags Pride hails from Gallatin, Tennessee where it was grown by the Hayes Family. Both of these plants were undressed by the hail storm we had in June but grew back nicely but late on producing mature fruits. Ami
