I've also been contemplating KBX, is this a big difference from AGG other than color. (note to Carolyn, I am one of those guys that see orange where it may not really be there. For example, the middle light on a stop light is definitely orange, as are most school busses).

Also how do I decide between Anna Russian and Donskoi?

p.s. is there anything else that i absolutely need to have?

Yes, there's a big difference between AGG and KBX not only with color, but with taste. I love both.

You pick a heart and grow it. There's always next year to grow other heart varieties, which are some of my faves. I've grown all the hearts you mention and if you're limited to what you posted then I'd select Anna Russian over Donskoi, but there are others I prefer over those two as well.

No, there's nothing more you have to have, for THIS next season. You grow varieties to trial them, you keep a list of what does well for you, and each year you try new varieties.

About color perception. On Tuesday I was at the eye surgeon's office for yet another followup for the two cataract surgeries. I asked about the antibiotic drops b'c I said I thought they were turning my urine yellow. he said urine is yellow. I said there are different shades of yellow, and back and forth we went. When I got home I said self, that man can't tell the difference between various shades of yellow and probably gold and orange as well.

So when I go back on Nov 9th for refraction for glasses I'm going to tell him that he has a genetic defect having to do with color perception and I think it's right to tell an opthomologist that, just rewards, knowing that my dentist when I was teaching med students in Denver was caries resistant and had never felt the thrill of the drill.

Sometimes I'm bad, and I accept it gleefully.
