Deer and water scarecrow!
I now have 2 visual data from my 20x20 garden and the water-scarecrow.
Last night, I watched as a deer came within 10 ft of garden plants when it tripped the water-scarecrow and the deer shot off. This morning 2 deer approached and 1 deer came up behind the densest tomato section, so the water-scarecrow took about 45 seconds before it sensed motion. But when it tripped the deer(both) jumped straight up in the air, scared (to death hopefully) then darted off. I lost a couple limbs off a cherokee purple, but it would have been much worse without the water-scarecrow! Very happy to see it work and know I can breathe a little easier while waiting for all my fruit to ripen. Thanks Craig for recommending it! |
