Now it is officially summer...
This week has seen our first serious pickings of tomatoes. Unfortunately the big rains came this week just as many were ripening. Three inches so far this week and more rain is threatening this evening. Despite having kept the plants well watered I've had more splitting than I like. Worst has been Cherokee Purple which has had me eating them like crazy... how sad.
Anyway below from left to right, top to bottom.... Anna Russian,Boxcar Willie, Big Beef, Cherokee Purple, Amish Paste, Coustralee, Pink Floyd, Mandarin Orange Clint Eastwood's Rowdy Red, Early Girl, the days haul all together. Time to start canning a few.
