Default Soil... I need simple

Decided to do 5 gallon buckets this fall and winter for tomatoes and peppers and squash. I like the self watering things I have seen and am going to try.

One question I have, being a simple person is this: If I just want to get bagged soil, what works well as is? Dont want to mix a lot of stuff and all that. Would like to use local.

Whats wrong with the miracle grow stuff?

Appreciate the help and ideas as always!
