Default Unusual melon

Last night, during a bout of insomnia, I was watching a Cindy Crawford Informercial and they said that the base for her cosmetics line was a "rare french melon." It looked like it was a charantais type melon with a salmon colored flesh. They said that the anti-aging base component was due to the melon not rotting as fast as other melons. They used time-lapse photography to show two similar looking melons and only one rotted.

Anybody have any idea what kind of melon they were using?
