Default Has anyone tried Geronimo commercially?

A guy not too far from me plants 100% Geronimo tomatoes in his commercial hydroponic greenhouse. The look really nice. They don't seem to be as large as other beefsteaks, but maybe they are not a true beefsteak.

I found some seeds on line and the price was very high (over fifty cents per seed) compared to what I'm used to paying.

Have any of you commercial growers here tried Geronimo outside in a traditional commercial tomato field?

Why are the seeds so expensive?

Would it be a good idea to try them in the field on a large scale? Are they any better than the old standard Big Boy and Goliath?

Thanks in advance.
