After Germination Then What Questions?

Ok - after the seeds are germinated and then under grow lights until the two leaves are formed (and does this also apply to peppers?) can you put the plants out of the grow lights after the two leaves form and into a window (I have a room with a glass like wall about 30 feet where I work on my art) and let them get sunlight until they are ready to transplant out into the garden? And with the glass wall like in the room would I have to put the germinated seeds under grow lights? How about a heat pad?
