A very cool learning from the Dwarf project is that you never know what the hybrid will taste like. Some great crosses led to really mediocre F1s, but some outstanding things then popped up in the F2 and beyond.
The best tasting F1s - in fact, great tomatoes - are Sneezy (Golden Dwarf Champion X Green Giant) - medium large smooth delicious bright yellow. Pesty is really good - large oblate sweet pink (New Big Dwarf X Pesta Mortgage Lifter, a typical large bicolor), Sleazy A (huge oblate sweet pink, New Big Dwarf X Carbon), and Tipsy (medium deeply flavored red, Golden Dwarf Champion X Elbe - so an odd red F1 with a yellow X orange cross). The worst tasting F1 to me was Happy (New Big Dwarf X Paul Robeson), though lots of good eventually emerged. Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Eventful, Grumpy, Dizzy, Jaunty, Nosey, Sleepy and Witty are all bland-ish - most are non descript medium reds. So you never know!
