Default Fusarium or normal progression?

On my Black Krim, I recently noticed an entire main stem is ever so slightly brown/olive drab. Not a spot, the whole thing. One would think that fusarium would creep up from an infected spot and not so much have an entire 2.5 foot section turn color all at once. The leaves are healthy aside from some heat stress. I have noticed that a few sprigs have had leaves die to a crisp nearest the stem but I'm hoping this is due to heat. I've cut open some removed sprigs affected by this die-off and no brown streaks on the interior. It is also in a pot with little to no native soil. Any ideas?
