Necessity not choice

I learned the art of growing tomatoes in containers not by choice but out of necessity. For years, I tried to garden at my home in rural Upstate South Carolina. Only trouble was, the demon seed spawn of Satan ate or destroyed every vegetable I produced. Yes, the despicable rodent squirrel led me to relocate my tomato hobby to an urban location behind my place of business. It has an east facing exposure so I get full sun up until about 3 pm. I grow in 15 gallon containers with a homemade combo of Fafard potting mix, black cow manure and Stout Ollie's Mater Maker. The only nutrients I add is TTF. The squirrels don't bother me now and these four plants will keep my whole family in tomatoes til frost. This year I am growing Better Boy, Marion, Rutgers, and Cherokee Purple. Gravity fed drip irrigation provides the water. I hope you enjoy my little slice of Heaven.
