Default First BLT of 2008

I will try and make a VERY long story short.
We planted 50 varieties this year, and I wanted the plants to have the BEST start! I used a gas powered auger to drill 12" x 4 FOOT deep holes for each plant, and planted them deep in home made compost.
We did however plant in a 100 year flood plain.... it flooded. HARD, THREE times.
Plants were under 6 feet of water with logs rolling over them and everything!
I was devastated. I didn't even go look at them for 2 weeks. When I did, i noticed I only lost TWO plants, and the remaining plants were jumping out of the ground with zero foliage issues!
Best season I have EVER had!
And this Carbon x Marianna's peace BLT, on HOME MADE bread was exquisite!
(the Carbon is hiding behind Marianna)
and for the record both were amazing, but I prefered the Carbon. In our garden Marianna was more pink than red, but both were as close to perfect as you could ask for!
