Purple Haze F1 56 Inches in 54 days - Unbelievable! (pics)
OK folks, Let's forget the freakin Economy for a few minutes and focus on what is REALLY important - growing tomatoes!!
Here is a photo taken on August 30 of two Purple Haze F1 plants (from cuttings Vince sent me) and at that time they measured 14 inches tall: Today, 56 days later, I took this picture of the same two plants - - 70 inches tall: I'm not doing anything special like adding Actinovate nor MycoGrow - - just using a fertilizer strip of Tomato-tone. Also to add even more mystery - as the Sun is at a much lower angle these days, the plants get no more than 4 hours of direct sunshine per day. So if my math is correct, that works out to be slightly more than one inch per day. Wish I could make other things grow that fast (in the garden).
