Default Gabriel's Long/Red sweet bell report

Tania kindly send me some seeds of this when I admired some pictures she had posted somewhere. I can't seem to find the original pics. The Long Red's were a segregation or maybe a cross from her Gabriel's Red sweet bell and were an elongated shape. She also sent me original seeds of the normal bell shape.

I started 4 seeds of each, got four seedlings of the bell shape, but unfortunately only one sprouted of the long variety. And as it turned out, the darn thing had reverted back to the bell shape!

Next year I will start the rest of the long form seeds and hopefully I might get a few longs. But it really didn't matter, because all the Gabriel's Red were very nice.

I had labeled the Long's as F1, you can see the bell shape has reappeared:

I loved the maroon color that the half mature pepper had:

The mature real Gabriel's Red Bell -- (Thanks, Tania, they were delicious.)
