Default How Do You Eat Your Fresh Tomatoes?

Being from the country, I mostly eat them sliced and salted with a meal. There's not much better than having a plate full of fried potatoes with onions, fresh okra, purple hull peas, sweet corn, green onions, a pod of cayenne pepper and a whole lot of tangy sliced tomatoes. All wash down with a big glass of sweet tea.

I really like salted sliced tomatoes with some mayo between two slices of white bread. The only drink that I like with that, is a cold glass of milk.

Back when I lived in country with my grandparents, we didn't have store bought bread, we ate them between homemade biscuits with just salt on them. Talk about good!!

Also I like them the way my wife fixes tomatoes. She chops up tomatoes, cucumber, jalapeno peppers, sweet onions and puts some salt, pepper, olive oil and wine vinegar on them and lets them marinate for a few hours in the frig before serving.
