Default coco pots and transplanting

Hey all,
Just looking for a little advice. I transplanted my seedlings into 3" coco coir pots about a month ago. This is my first time using these in lieu of peat pots which I usually remove before planting. The seedlings are about ready to be planted out. The package says that the coco pots can be planted directly in the ground and the roots will grow through the pots. I've experienced some rooting problems in the past with peat pots but the coco pots are quite porous.
Should I remove the pots before transplanting?
