Intro & Tomato ID ?
Having never grown any heirlooms, we ordered the Heirloom Rainbow Blend from Gurney's this year. It says it may contain: black, pink, red or yellow Brandywine, Cherokee Purple, Green Zebra, White Wonder and orange Nebraska Wedding. I found Tomatoville listed in The Old Farmer's Almanac and have been learning so much from all of you. I'm looking forward to growing many more heirlooms this next year and have a nice list started of what I want to try.
Now that some of the fruit are starting to ripen on this mixture we ordered, we're trying to figure out what is what. Here's our first one we picked today. The plant has regular leaves. Is it a Cherokee Purple? or? Last edited by frdmfrc; August 1, 2009 at 03:25 PM. |
