First tomato sandwich lunch!
One of my first breaker tomatoes, a Steak Sandwich, (burpee hybrid variety) was fully ripe today, so I sawed two 3/8 inch slices out of the middle, slathered three pieces of bread with Hellman's mayo, salt and pepper, and dove in! Oh, that first 'mater sammich of the year was memorable! I know I'll be a little tired of them in September, but the first one was heavenly!
I was going to take a picture, but just couldn't wait.... |
