Default Beefsteak Toms on The Small Side?

I am growing 4 Beefsteak variety Toms thihaves year. The seed package said extremely large often exceeding 2lbs, 96 days from transplant. Most of the toms on these plants are getting ripe and are more about golf ball size, far under 1lb. Right next to these plants I have plants making many 1-2lb toms. These beefsteak plants have been hit a little harder by bugs, but none the less the small size is suprising to me. Has any body observed this kind of thing before with beefsteak(small size)?
