Default Maris Piper - is it really all that great?

I've already ordered my seed potatoes from Tom and Fedco but I just found out Ronniger's has Maris Piper. I've always heard how great it is and was thinking about ordering some until I got to the shipping cost. Yikes. Please somebody tell me it's a scabby disease magnet and I should save my money!

Here's the link if anybody wants to see it. From the description it doesn't sound like much but I've read accounts that it's the best tasting potato ever.
