Fahrenheit Blues Cherry Tomato.
I'm growing Tom Wagner's "Fahrenheit Blues" cherry tomato that I purchased from his site,http://newworldcrops.com/wp/". Tom's description for the variety was, "Fahrenheit Blues: This is destined to be one of my HOT blues ! In the hope to fine-tune this variety, I will be looking, along with my lucky customers, to locate seedlings with long truss blue cherry tomatoes. The hotter the temperature and the hotter the sun, the bluer the tomatoes. The hotter the temperatures—the sweeter the flavors. I don’t have many seed but if you want to try this one it is five seed only. SOLD OUT".
I was able to get eight seeds germinated and have them all growing in the garden. I started three of the eight plants a few weeks early using "Wall-O-Water"s. Of these three plants the largest has set several trusses of tomatoes of which I have posted two photos of. I'm glad I was able to be one of the lucky few to try this variety this year and I'm excited to see the fruit develop after all these weeks. It appears that this will be a green cherry with blue shoulders but that is a guess. Perhaps Tom might comment and further elaborate on his progeny here, but in any case the results are developing.
