Kind of a sticky diplomatic issue. If you give her a tomato from
a different plant, she might know that was not the type of tomato
that the plant that she gave you produces (she will assume that you
broke the plant and are unwilling to admit it). If you tell her that
her plant is not setting fruit, that will be embarrassing for her (she
gave you a defective plant).

I would go with the truth here: show her the weird flowers. You can
look kind of indignant, as if you were the victim of a practical joke,
and you are waiting for her to explain how it was not her fault. Take
some of your other tomatoes with you and leave them for a peace
offering, to indicate that you understand that this sort of accident
of genetics could happen to anyone and you are not holding a grudge
over it.
