Default Seed saving

This is my first year of trying to keep my seed pure. Does this sound right, I tried to do what worked for me after gathering info from the internet. Made sleeves from bridal netting. Put over stem before flowers opened, tied at bottom. Waited for tomatoes to form, removed netting, pinched off remaining flowers, tied string to stem to mark 'pure' tomatoes. Will this work or have I missed something, I still probably have time to try again. Thanks everyone, Joelle
