Tania, on Jan 22, 2012 new US postal rates go into effect. All are higher. I do know that there's a one cent increase for a first class stamp, and trying to read at the USPS website is not that easy to understand, at least for me.

What that means is I have to inventory my stamps on hand b'c I don't know what the increase is to Canada, Europe or Asia. And I'm speaking here only about letters , in general, b'c I don't send large packages of seeds these days. especially to Europe, as I used to do. And then I'll call my local post office to get more exact information b/c I need to know b'c of my upcoming seed offer here where I volunteer to pay postage to those who participate who are outside of the US.

So perhaps Linda has checked out what the increases are going to be starting on Jan 22 and has increased the shipping prices to reflect that.

Just a guess on my part.

Edited to add that as long as the TGS 2012 catalog has been shipped that has the new prices, and same for the website, those prices would take effect now, not on Jan 22nd. In other words the prices have been made public in advance. That's the way I see it.
