nctomatoman Tomatoville® Moderator Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Hendersonville, NC zone 7 Posts: 10,385	Ken, the in ground garden gets full sun from about 9 AM until 3 or 4 PM. Roasts pretty bad in the afternoon - always amazed how the beets and cukes can look so awful in the full, hot sun - then come back beautifully in the evening! swamper, I spend an hour each day watering by hand. If you had my type of soil (heavy clay, diseased, less sun than optimal), you would move to containers as well! __________________ Craig
