what did i just eat
found a show called united states of bacon on some channel i normally dont watch i think the channel is called "destination". it runs a lot of discovery channel content so they prob own it. anyway a chef creates a bucket list of restaurants that serve bacon in some way shape or form. he then visits those restaurants and breaks down the dish and eats it.
one of the places served a burger called the 50/50 burger. now let me first apologize for not taking a photo of this wonderful creation. this thing was supurb in every way. it doesnt really have anything to do with tomatoes but we tweaked the recipe to incorporate a beautiful slice of cherokee purple. also added some sliced tomato with fresh moz and a pesto drizzle with some boxwood basil sprinkled on the top. so heres the burger mash an avocado make chipolte mayo 1/4 lb beef 1/4 lb ground bacon combine beef and bacon and form into patty grill to a medium well to fully cook bacon and top with pepper jack cheese while cheese is melting fry an egg sunny side up toast hamburger or kaiser roll place burger on roll and top with egg, avocado mash, and chipolte mayo now try to finish that sucker. to adjust the recipe to fit this site i suggest adding a thick slice of your fav tomato. cherokee purple worked nicely
