michael johnson Tomatovillian™ Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: UK. Posts: 960	German tomatoes named Boar - Why?? Does anyone know why there are a number of German tomatoes named Boar, like red Boar, Yellow Boar, etc etc, why name tomatoes after a wild pig, I cant see the connection myself- but its catchy to say the least . Albeit the fact that I believe that some of them are considered to be very good tomatoes.
